Preserve Your History

The Settlement Agreement says you can preserve your records for history at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR).

This website is to help inform Survivors, family members and communities, who are interested in sharing their records and statements with the NCTR, about the NCTR. For more information on the IAP or ADR Records please click here.

The NCTR emerged from the shared vision of all parties to the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement and is born directly out of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

This vision saw the need for a place of learning and dialogue; sharing and understanding; where the collective and individual truth of former students of the Residential Schools would be honoured and protected in order to move the country further down the path of Reconciliation.

NCTR accepts records and statements from those interested in sharing their experiences. Please contact us at: nctrRecords@umanitoba.ca
